How to save Web Contents directly to Google Drive for Data Storage


save to google drive directlyOnline data storage has become a huge hit these days. If you have found something interesting while browsing on internet and want to save the link or a photo to cloud storage like Google Drive. The usual process followed is to download the image to

your local machine and then upload this to photo folder in Google Drive or save all link in a file and then upload it to the online data storage. This task might be easy for 1 or 2 files but it becomes very tedious to do the same for multiple files.
There is an easy way to do this using Google Chrome extension named – “Save to Google Drive”. Download and install this app from Chrome Store and install this extension on your Chrome browser. Once installed click on the Google Drive button appearing on right-top corner of your browser. Here you will be asked to authorise Save to Google drive. This extension will not have access to your password or any of your personal information. You can always go to your My Account and revoke access.

Once the installation is done, it is ready to use. Try browsing a webpage which has an image in it. Now right click on this image and you get ‘Save to Google Drive’ option. Under this you have two further options – ‘Save image to Google Drive’ and ‘Save link to Google Drive’. The same way if you want to save a link while browsing then just right click on that link and click on ‘Save link to Google Drive’. Once saved you get a message saying the link or the image has been successfully saved. All that you need to do is login to Google Drive at anytime and you will find all the images and links. Also, while saving there is an option to rename the file.
