Free Online tool for Website monitoring

Do you have a website and want to check if it’s ping-able from around the world or not? Website monitoring is very important for a website owner. There are too many free and paid softwares available online for website monitoring.
I’m sure that most of them will not go for a paid version of website monitoring tool unless they have some major product to sell or some major website or a blog.
One such online web based website monitoring tool that is completely free of cost is - Just Ping. Just follow the following steps to check if your website is ping-able from around the world or not.
  • Go to Just Ping website.
  • Enter your IP address or your domain name.
  • Click on Ping button

According to their website Ping uses the ICMP protocol’s mandatory ECHO_REQUEST datagram to elicit an ICMP ECHO_RESPONSE from a host or a gateway. If you don’t understand the technology part of it, you don’t have to worry. For those who want to know more about the technical part you can visit their website and go to About Ping page for more details.
The best thing about this is it is completely and the response is really quick. Also, while testing this Ping will ping your website from 50 different location across the world. As you can see I have verified my website and I see that for most of them the ping worked fine and there were around 4 to 5 ping’s where there was 10 percent packet loss. Also, I see that 2 locations from China says – ‘Checkpoint temporarily not available’. Not sure what’s the meaning of that. So, What do you say? Do you think China is blocking most of the websites, my website or is it something to do with the ping server. Leave a comment on what you think and share this post with your friends if you find it useful. Let me tell you that this is one simple and easy to use online web based website monitoring tool.
