How to make good use of your broadband download limit

Download limit by ISP
I have got land-line and broadband connection with a download limit of 30 GB every month and a 2 Mbps line. This plan provided by my internet service provider might change at any time and is region specific. I did not ever bother to see my data usage until recently when there was an increase in tariff plan.
Let me tell you what I do after which you can decide on what you want to. I usually do not download
much during start of the billing cycle and the download will be the maximum at the end of billing cycle. The reason is I might connect from home to my office network sometimes and I don’t want to have lower bandwidth at that time. Anything within 1 GB, I don’t worry much about download. At the end of billing cycle I search for good useful contents on torrents and then keep it for downloading which I watch or listen on the way to office everyday. I keep my laptop or PC on at home and also the modem and control torrents remotely from my Android device. I make sure that 30 GB is consumed and even if it crosses 30 GB limit I’m least bothered as I have got unlimited plan. Also, it’s the end of billing cycle after which my ISP will reset the usage to zero and also the regular speed.
There was nothing called ‘Fair usage policy’ before. Unfortunately, we have it now and to increase the download limit we need to buy smart bytes which is not worth buying according to me. As per Fair usage policy your broadband speed will be brought down to 256 or 512 kbps after the download limit is crossed, still good enough for browsing and torrents. According to me a user should make good use of the available download limit as the user will end up in paying the full amount irrespective of the total usage. Let me know what you think and how you make use of your broadband download limit by leaving a comment.
