How to disable instant upload to your online photo album

Instant upload is something that is enabled by default when you install Dropbox or Google Plus. Usually users are notified when the application is installed on mobile device, but most of the users just tap

on ‘Next’ without reading anything. By doing this mistake all your photos will be instantly uploaded to your online photo album. This will not only consume your mobile data usage but may also upload your personal photos from your phone. So, be careful when you install and tap on the ‘Next’ button. Disable instant upload of photos and also enable ‘Wifi only’ option when you upload photos instantly to avoid huge data usage bill. I would recommend not to enable instant upload as there may be N number photos which may not be that good and you may want to edit or select only some of the photos uploaded to you online photo album instead of all the photos that you have clicked.

Follow the following steps to check and disable instant upload of photos to your online photo album. Instead of going to individual App settings on your Android device go to Android device Settings. Scroll down to Accounts and select each of the account settings. Over here you can select individual app settings and then modify its settings.

For Dropbox:

• Settings >> Account >> Dropbox >> General Settings
• Tap on Account Settings
• Under Camera Upload you have an option to Turn on and off your photo upload. Also, you can select Wifi or Wifi + Data to upload your photos to online photo album.

For Google Plus:

• Settings >> Account >> Google >> Google + >> Select account
• Under ‘Sync Settings’ uncheck ‘Sync Instant Upload’

Save documents online via URL to Dropbox

You can always download files or other stuff from internet and then upload it to Dropbox. But how to save documents online real quick? This is very useful if Dropbox is blocked at your work place or any other place where you don’t have access to Dropbox and you want to continue saving files to your Dropbox account.
