All those fans of Picnik including me who have used the free photo editing tool were disappointed when Google acquired Picnik and in just about an year after acquisition Picnik was shut down by Google. Picnik was of great fun as it had some funny special features to edit photo. This online free photo editing tool was not for pro photographers but good enough for most of them who just want to share pics on social media. Picnik was one very simple and easy to use tool.If you want to continue using picnik then there is a way for you to continue using this free photo editing tool. Google has integrated picnik with Google Plus. You will be able to find some of the most popular tools and effects in Google Plus under creative kit. Once you login to your Google plus account, go to photos and on top left corner you will find “Creative Kit” or “Edit Photo”. Click on it and you will be able to edit your photo using picnik. You may not find all the features which were available before. Once you are done with photo editing on Google Plus using the creative kit, click on save to publish or share it with your friends. You also have an option to download this photo.
I don’t find it that easy now. It’s simple and easy if you are sharing content on Google Plus, but if you just want to edit and upload photo to your website or other social media then you can try other tools. Meanwhile, if you are looking for other online free photo editing tools then you can give a try to Pixlr, Picozu, PicMonkey and befunky.
